    Hi Danny, In replacing the XPWR 40, how is the 4000.7 working? What KV did you choose? Swing a 22x10CF equal to a XPWR 40? TIA

      Hello Marty the GA 4000 is a definitely a better motor in my eyes is capable to swing a large carbon fibre. Prop are used carbon fibre because the motor can pick up a lot faster and if you are 3-D flying. Fly save Marty.

    Hi Danny, I have a Dualsky GA2000R with an Avian 130a ESC in a Pilot RC 67" Laser. The engine makes weird noises, I tried 15 and 30 degrees timing but no solution. Do you know a solution for this problem?

      Check to see if your motor and ESC getting hot if is ok is the noise coming from high or low rev or vibration. Also check for prop noise with changing props. Check the bearing by pulling on the prop for play. 👍 fly safe

    Hi Danny, great video! I recently acquired this same airframe and would like to use the DA4000.7 as you have here. Do the standoffs that come with the DA4000.7 work as is for the proper spacing with the cowl or did you have to add additional spacers? @@dannyporter888silverfox8 hi again Danny, I guessed you were not feeling great☹️ I know that your in a lot of pain but it will get less over time. You have two choices my friend, 1, to give into what has happened to you, don’t do all the things you use to love like flying, vlogging etc because your in pain & finding things difficult. 2. DONT focus on what you CAN’T DO at the moment. Try to be positive about getting as well as you can get & set small steps to recovery every day. START by thinking about the content of your next vlog!!! THEN MAKE IT IN STAGES, A BIT EVERY DAY. It will do your mental state the world of good!! ALSO CONTACT your flying club mates & GET DOWN THE PATCH for some interaction with people with the same interests. YOU MUST DO ALL YOU CAN TO MANAGE YOUR MENTAL WELLNESS. Being at home just dealing with pain is NOT good for you, you are still alive when you should not be after the horrendous accident & got a long life ahead of you so YOU must do all you can to make it as best you can🤞you could make a vlog a little bit each day then edit it so it looks like a coherent video. Me, my eyes are as good as they are going to get so just fly a little bit closer than I use to. Had some good holidays & just booked to go to Lanzarote & booked 5 weeks in Australia to meet the twin grand daughters we only seen on face time. They are miracle girls that should not be here & born very early & could fit in the palm of your hand. After many weeks in hospital they are now 18 months old & are doing very well, thank god🙏 they are real fighters! Our other daughter who is travelling the world back packing is in Bali & we are all meeting up for a week in FIJI for a week which will be great🤞. I also got the worst flu I’ve ever had just after Christmas even though I had the flu jab, it lasted 5 weeks & couldn’t stop coughing, so much so it gave me a large hernia that stopped me doing a lot. My club mates asked me where I was & when I told them I can’t bend much, on a Wednesday, one of them picks me up, packs all the stuff in there van & takes me to the patch, they even set everything up ( I made a SLEC folding model stand with a table for something to do when unwell) it took me a couple of weeks to make it a little each day but it’s great now I don’t have to bend over at the patch. I see a consultant on 30th May to see about an operation to put it right but long long waiting lists. Stay in touch and DO what I suggest, it will do you mental & physical state the world of good🤞🤞🤞🙏🙏

      @@dannyporter888silverfox8 hey Danny, I’ve sent a long reply to your comments already but just speaking to my partner Sue who 9 years ago contacted bowl cancer. She needed a lot of radiotherapy & endless chemo before the y killed the cancer, unfortunately the amount of treatment was to much and the after effects were very bad, one of them being fibromyalgia (total body pain caused by damaged nerves) she was on strong pain killers including morphine which was turning her into a zombie at aged 53. She managed to keep asking for help & eventually her cancer consultant signed her up for a 5 week residential pain course at st Thomas’s hospital in London with about 8 other participants. It was life changing but not easy. She only take paracetamol now when she needs it along with many other drugs to keep the cancer damage. Thanks for this useful video. I have also spent a lot of money on different Lipo (mid quality) and on my opinion the HRB is good value for money, specifically those HRB premium which comes in 100c. Nano used to be very good, but in my last experience with them I found that they are not worth unless they are sold at half price (they are weak and don’t give enough flight times) - maybe the regular Turnigy are still good- I have a pack since years and it is one of my best till now. I am going to try HRB graphine soon and let’s see. For the other brand yowoo and zheee and powerx and so on, these are grade C lipo and don’t worth buying them. If willing to spend more , I would choose gens ace (i am sure there are other premium brands too but there price buy 2 or 3 of the HRB). Another option would be one of the new LiHv series but they are expensive !

I’m excited as got a durafly gloster gladiator on its way to me from Uk hobby king. I loved the look of the real plane probably 5 years ago, it was the first closed in cockpit fighter but still a bi plane. Still using this motor. Using it on my Skywing 67 Edge using a 100amp HobbyWing ESC. I have had the magnets shift so I used the baking soda+thin-CA technique between the magnets to keep them in place. Using a XOAR 18x8 inch prop and drawing about 1700-1800 watts. Motor seems to be fine and not heating up any more than a 17x7 inch prop. It has a thicker shaft than the Eflite Power 470KV. I wish I had bought more of these motors.

    i would rather you spoke your mind and said this is one is crap or that one is superb rather than try and be diplomatic and not call out shite when you see it. FFS we are paying thru the nose and a certain country is reaping the rewards....and building up their munitions with the world's spare cash. One day, in a world near you soon, we may well be at war with 'em but for Christ's sake have the gumption geezer to get off the fence. Then again, I may be wrong and you may just be a polite, genteel chappy and I'm just a rude fkr. Hi Danny. I’m hoping you can help me. Just did maiden with my pilot rc extra ng 67. I wasn’t sure about the CG. Asked few people and they ensured me that 5000 mah battery (730g) will be fine . When balancing plane to the mark in the middle of the wing pipe i had to add lots of weight. Over 250 g. Anyway after watching videos and reading forums no one seems to add weight in the nose. So i measured cg slightly behind the wing tube. Anyway after start, easing on throttle and banking right the plane just dived nose in and no control input made any difference. So guessing it was really tail heavy. Any idea? 🙏🏻 Thank you very much

    • @dannyporter888silverfox8
      @dannyporter888silverfox8 11 місяців тому

      Hi there radukapu. First you need to check your radio settings making sure it’s not got any movement mix in the controls like keep your plane on the ground without your motor running use the control to bank to the right and making sure the elevator do not move or any other controls do not move next is checking all your radio equipment sounds like when you said putting the controls in nothing happens to me sounds like you have radio issue check the rate of movements on all the controls. secondly I want to know what kind of pilot you are. Are you a 3-D pilot or pattern/ sport pilot it makes a big difference to where your CG should be. 👍

      @@dannyporter888silverfox8 Hi Danny. Thank you very much for your reply. As i plane pilot ’m more sport style not hardcore 3D . My experience 12 years 3d helis and few foamies now getting imore seriously into planes. I’m pretty skilled builder but got really confused by CG. As i was sourcing out info some guys say that the marked cg is slightly forward so being on the rear edge ( or somewhere around) of wing pipe I should be fine. I really felt unsure adding over 200 g of dead weight to the front . Never heard anyone doing that. Also when measured the plane from tip of the cone to the edge of the tail it was around 70mm longer than measurement in manual. They say 1661 mm mine 1730 mm . I’m now thinking if i made a piloting error and entered banking on low speed and lost lift. Maybe extra ng needs slightly higher speed to fly well? Thank you Radek

      Hello radukapu. I sent some one to check my pilot 67” and the CG on my model is just at the rear edge of the wing tube. No weight needed on my model with very hight movements on all the controls and that model flies great 👍.

    Hi Danny. Just finishing my extra ng 67. With gens ace 5000 nah battery all the way in still tail heavy. Had to add over 200 grams to get it in balance. Battery is around 730 g and i need 1023 g . Did you have to add extra weight? Thank you for you input. Radek

    • @dannyporter888silverfox8
      @dannyporter888silverfox8 11 місяців тому

      Hello radukapu. I didn’t need to add weight on the front. I fly3D so all my models is slightly tail heavy sometimes I even have to add weight right at the end of the rudder post. wherever the CG is marked on my aircraft I can fly with maybe 5 to 10 millimetres off central gravity at the back due to 3-D flying mainly stalling the aircraft to get manoeuvres. Have a look at some of my Maiden flight. I push the aircraft into manoeuvers soon as I have clearance of the ground and I fast roll on takeoff maiden flight and is very precise have a look at the maiden flight on the yellow extra going into a fast roll on takeoff with enough clearance of the ground maiden flight see what you think. 👍

      Hi there fordever. Have you checked your Ariel and also when you are binding don’t be too close to the receiver if you do you will get problems With receivers try it that way first before you mess with programming that’s what I would do however if you are looking at reprogramming then it’s something you need to contact spectrum when you reprogram I think they might give you a code maybe a password. Fly safe 👍

      @ryans4041 5 місяців тому

      Your specific cause may be different from mine but I had the same rebinding after every power down issue with my 10360T. My problem was that I had a separate BEC providing power into the bind/srxl2 port but I was using the wrong lead from the Castle Creations BEC. I was using the 3 pin lead with the signal wire and I only needed to use the other lead with the 2 pins (positive and ground) with the signal blank and then it never gave me that problem again. Hope this helps someone if they get that same issue.
